(KRDO) — The 'Aspen Acres' fire, which started on June 29, 2026, near Rye, Colorado, and has burned across Custer and Pueblo counties, with evacuation orders also affecting parts of Fremont and Huerfano counties. The fire is now considered Colorado's 7th largest wildfire by acreage. Evacuation shelters are open in Pueblo and Custer counties, with livestock shelter available at the Colorado State Fairgrounds.
