Pueblo County seeks volunteers for Beulah fire and flood recovery

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Pueblo County is calling on community members to help with the ongoing cleanup effort in Beulah after the Aspen Acres Fire and flooding.

The county says that between Sept. 1 and Sept. 7, it will have two additional dumpsters to help residents remove debris and materials associated with flood and wildfire recovery.

According to officials, community volunteers are needed with the following:

• Debris and mud cleanup
• Minor repairs and cleanup
• Sorting and organizing donations
• Moving and hauling materials
• Helping residents with everyday needs
• Other cleanup and recovery activities

“Recovery is going to take all of us,” said Pueblo County leadership. “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has already stepped up to help their neighbors. But there is still a tremendous amount of work to be done, and we need more community involvement. This is our community, and this is the time to take care of each other.”
