Man arrested after fatal shooting in northwest Colorado Springs
UPDATE: Police say they arrested 28-year-old Steven Walters, who has been charged with murder in the first degree. He was booked into the El Paso County on Tuesday and remains in custody.
Once the victim is identified and the next of kin is notified, CSPD will release their name.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- One person is in custody after Colorado Springs Police responded to a call for a shooting in the 4600 Block of Rusina Road on the city's west side late Monday night.
When officers arrived, they located the body of a man with a gunshot wound. Detectives from the CSPD’s Violent Crimes Homicide/Assault Unit responded to investigate.
Police said the investigation is still underway, but believe "all parties believed to be involved in this incident have been identified and accounted for," and said they believe there is no immediate threat to the public.
Officials with the Colorado Springs Police department say they are seeing an increase in shootings.
"At this time last year, we had investigated 17 homicides in Colorado Springs," says Natashia Kerr, spokesperson for the Colorado Springs Police Department. "This year we're up 25-plus."
