Scheels of Colorado Springs looks to help non-profits across Southern Colorado

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)- The SCHEELS store in Colorado Springs is looking to donate $40,000 to local non-profits on December 7th as part of Colorado Gives Day, but they need your help determining which charities will get the money.

There will be a total of six winners, the first place winner will be granted a $10,000 prize, while the other five will receive $6,000 each.

They are asking for help from the community to help determine what charities their funds will go to.

The campaign will run through Tuesday, November 30.

Community members are encouraged to help determine where the money is allocated by nominating their favorite non-profits. SCHEELS currently has 20 non-profits on their list, but you can add in your favorite non-profit.

“At SCHEELS, we care about our communities and take pride in donating our time, energy, and resources to support the members and organizations within them,” said Colorado Springs SCHEELS Store Leader Cory Tweden. “This holiday season we are so excited to further show our support of local non-profits and help make a difference in any way we can. ”

For more information and to nominate your favorite non-profit, visit www.scheels.com/coloradospringsgiving between November 15 and November 30.
