Suspect caught after fatal hit-and-run of 60-year-old man in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo Police Department said Thursday that 34-year-old Sara Hernandez has been arrested after a fatal hit-and-run on July 3.

60-year-old Timothy Chambers died from serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Hamel Avenue.

Security footage from a nearby business revealed a white sedan, possibly a Chevrolet had fled the scene after hitting Chambers, who was riding a motorcycle.

Police say Hernandez is facing the following charges: Vehicular Homicide,
Reckless Driving and Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Death.
