Zachary Aedo joined KRDO News Channel 13 in May 2019. He’s excited to live in another state with amazing outdoor activities after going to college in Utah.

Zachary graduated from Utah State University with two bachelor’s degrees in broadcast journalism and psychology.

Throughout his last college year, he worked as a freelance videographer for all four news stations in Salt Lake City, Utah. He also anchored and produced two segments for a documentary on the Transcontinental Railroad, which aired on Utah’s PBS station in early 2019.

His passion for writing and videography drove him to seek a job as a reporter and fill-in Spanish anchor in Colorado Springs. When not working, you can find him playing the drums, rock climbing or reading inside coffee shops.

Zach is happy to learn more about the local community in Southern Colorado. If you have a story idea or tips about what’s going on, you can e-mail him at zachary.aedo@krdo.com
