Merry Matthews

Merry is the chief meteorologist at KRDO13.

Merry is a native of Georgia and comes to KRDO after forecasting for the national outlet WeatherNation in Denver where she covered major hurricanes along the coastal US, violent tornadoes across the Midwest, and raging wildfires from parts of California to northern Montana.  Prior to that, she spent time covering severe weather in Huntsville, Alabama.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Merry has experience forecasting hurricanes in the southern US and severe weather systems. She was part of the meteorology team that covered the violent tornado outbreak in the Southeast on April 27, 2011.

Merry has two sons and is a proud military spouse! In her spare time, she loves to explore the Colorado outdoors with her family.
