Victim in fatal Security-Widefield shooting identified
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office identified the victim in a shooting that happened Sunday in the Security-Widefield area.
Lieutenant Deborah Mynatt says the El Paso County Sheriff's Office received a call around 5:03 p.m. reporting numerous gunshots in the 4800 block of Spokane way.
At the scene, deputies found two people, each with a single gunshot wound.
First responders transported the individuals to a local hospital. At the hospital, Isaac Garcia, 18, died from his injuries.
The other victim has not been named. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
On Monday, deputies say they identified and took a suspect into custody. That suspect was identified as Kamrin Long, 18.
The sheriff's office says Long was booked on charges of First Degree Murder.
