Army veteran gifted HVAC unit from a locally owned company

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The holiday season is about giving. For one local company, that means helping a veteran and his family.

Army veteran Frank Maher is a Colorado native, a loving husband and father to his wife Alecia and four girls.

The Maher family now owns a new heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) unit. The gift of a new HVAC unit is a big surprise for the family, gifted by Colorado Springs One Source Home Service.

The surprise comes as the Maher family spent the last two years without working air conditioning.

Alecia says the family had to rely on a window A-C unit throughout the hot summer months, but it only helped cool the kitchen.

Now that it's getting colder she can feel comfortable about her new heater working without paying an expensive fee to fix or replace her old one.
