Missing and endangered 2-month-old taken by parents out of Pueblo West possibly in Aurora

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) - The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said it's no longer looking for the forest green GMC Yukon XL that it was believed the parents and a missing two-month-old were traveling in. However, authorities across the state are still searching for the suspects, 39-year-old Ashley Ardolino and 35-year-old Luis Novelo-Rojas, and two-month-old Elsy Ardolino.

Just after 2 p.m., the CBI said the group was last known to be in the area of Alameda and Havana St. in Aurora.

According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), two-month-old Elsy Ardolino was taken by her parents from Pueblo County Tuesday evening.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office said Elsy has been living with a family member in Pueblo West for the last month after her mother, Ardolino, made "disturbing statements" and requested the family member take Elsy.

That family member said Ardolino and Novelo-Rojas had driven from Denver to visit Elsy in Pueblo West Tuesday. Once there, the family member and the parents got into an argument that ended in them taking Elsy.

Ardolino is described as 5'04," 150 lbs., with brown eyes, and brown hair, Novelo-Rojas. is described as 5'01," 160 lbs, with black hair, and brown eyes.

According to state records, both of the parents have lengthy criminal pasts, unrelated to the current situation.

The CBI initially reported that the group might be traveling in a forest-green GMC Yukon XL with no license plates. The Yukon has a tow hitch on the back. The PCSO believes the vehicle they were traveling in was possibly stolen.

Law enforcement believes Elsy is in danger. She was last seen wearing a purple onesie with white swirls.
