Son asks 911 dispatcher to bring “cleanup crew” after allegedly stabbing mother, man

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- Court documents are revealing chilling new details about a double murder in a northern Colorado Springs neighborhood last week.

Police say, Cody Lee Parker, 31, stabbed his mom and a 79-year-old man, and then called 911 and told the dispatcher to "bring a cleanup crew."

When police arrived at the scene on Dancing Horse Drive, Parker reportedly told officers that he was the killer and that he had stabbed his mom, and that man, in front of his brother who was calling for him to stop.

KRDO is not identifying that 79-year-old man right now, as the El Paso County Coroner has not released his name yet.

The two victims, Deborah Parker-Lykins, 68, and the man, were taken to a hospital. Parker-Lykins died at the hospital shortly thereafter. The 79-year-old man died on Monday.

Parker has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder amongst a slew of other charges.

According to newly released court documents, Parker allegedly told police that he lived with his mom, the man, and his brother. Parker said he and his mom had been in a verbal argument and they didn't have a great relationship.

On Thursday, it reached a boiling point. While his mom was laying down, Parker said he grabbed a serrated kitchen knife and began to stab her. Court documents say Parker admitted his mother was begging for mercy and for him to stop. He said he tried to "aim low," to avoid her vital organs.

As police continued to question parker, officers noticed a cut on his right hand. Parker allegedly admitted he didn't even use the handle of the knife but stabbed the pair while holding the blade.

He also said he intentionally harmed himself as well.

Parker is being held on a $500,000 bond. He's due in front of a judge for a first appearance on Friday.
