Community and veterans job fair held in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pikes Peak Workforce hosted a job fair Wednesday open to the community and local veterans.

The Community and Veterans Job Fair, sponsored by USAA, was open to the general public and transitioning military, Guard, and Reserve members, veterans, their spouses, and their family members.

Between 10 and 11 a.m. veterans and their spouses visited the Colorado Springs Event Center and met with more than 70 employers looking to hire immediately. After 11 a.m., the job fair opened to the general public.

  • Customer Services/Sales 
  • Cyber security 
  • Department of Defense contractors 
  • Drivers/Transportation 
  • Education 
  • Financial/Insurance/Business  
  • Food Service 
  • Government 
  • Health care 
  • Hospitality 
  • Information Technology/Technical (non-defense related) 
  • Law Enforcement – Federal/State/Local 
  • Manufacturing 
  • Staffing Agencies
