Two injured during overnight shooting in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police say two people were injured in a shooting early Sunday in Pueblo.

Just before 1:30 a.m., two officers responding to another call were diverted when they heard gunshots near Northern Avenue and Vinewood Lane.

As officers approached the scene, they saw cars fleeing a nearby parking lot and they pulled in there. Police found two men on the ground with gunshot wounds. Paramedics took the victims to a nearby hospital.

The Pueblo Police Department is still investigating the incident. No further information has been released on the seriousness of the two men's injuries.
