Colorado Springs man found guilty in love-triangle shooting
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- It'll be a life sentence without parole for a Colorado Springs man found guilty of first-degree murder after a fatal shooting involving an alleged love triangle.
Andrew Firkins was found guilty Tuesday after the death of 37-year-old Nicholas Laduke back in March of 2019, according to the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office.
According to an arrest affidavit, Firkins and Laduke were both romantically involved with a woman. The shooting happened after Firkins got upset with the two of them at her home near Winewood Village Drive following a dinner.
The woman says she saw Firkins standing over Laduke's body after hearing gunshots, and Firkins was taken into custody by responding officers.
Firkins was sentenced Tuesday following the jury's verdict.
