The 5th grade class at Rudy Elementary gets a star studded sendoff, thanks to Coach Crews

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Aaron Crews is a teacher at Rudy Elementary. Because his fifth graders couldn't have a graduation ceremony he did the next best thing: he went on Cameo.com, a website where you can get personalized messages from celebrities.

"I just thought why not reach out to these guys, try it out and see what happens," said Crews. "These guys were really thrilled to reach back out to us and wish our fifth graders congratulations for graduation. It really turned into really something special for the kids."

He surprised his students with the star-studded video. Coach Crews was able to get Dalton Risner of the Broncos and former Bronco great and Hall of Famer Terrell Davis.

"Once I got his response, I was like oh my gosh, 'Terrell Davis! That's so awesome,'" says Crews.

He was also able to get awesome, humorous and inspirational messages from Oscar Nunez and Brian Baumgartner, better known as Kevin, from "The Office."

"My favorite was Kevin for sure," said Crews.

Now the kids can't ever give up because the man of men Chuck Norris says so. And, you can't make an inspirational video for students at Rudy Elementary without the actor Sean Astin who played the role of a never-give-up athlete from Notre Dame, "Rudy."

"This has all been for the kids. When all this went down, they had to miss their final last two months of school. They couldn't have a ceremony or anything like that. Really broke my heart," said Crews. "That's why I got into teaching in the first place. What can I do? Help make these kids lives better."
