Shelter-In-Place issued off N. Academy Blvd. and N. Carefree Cir. due to police activity

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Just before 5 p.m. Monday, the Colorado Springs Police Department sent out a shelter-in-place regarding a situation east of Palmer Park.
According to CSPD, the shelter-in-place is related to a barricaded suspect in the area of 3550 N. Carefree Circle. This was first reported through Peak Alerts at 4:37 p.m.

Residents in the area are asked to stay indoors, lock and stay away from windows and doors. CSPD said a second notification will go out when the situation is resolved.
The shelter in place was lifted at 7:42 p.m.
