Snowy Sunday in the high country

Tonight: Gradually turning mostly cloudy overnight which will help keep our temperatures slightly above average, low of 30 degrees in Colorado Springs and 33 in Pueblo. No chance of precipitation overnight along the I-25 corridor.

Sunday: A moist airmass will push across the state during the early morning hours, bringing snow to the mountains in central/southern Colorado. Biggest impacts will be felt for travelers along I-70 west of Denver, snow-covered roads gusty winds, in turn, limiting visibility will be possible through the day. Colorado Springs will stay mostly dry, although we can't rule out a stray rain shower during the afternoon and a light snow flurry late overnight. Minimal to no snow accumulation likely.

Extended: Starting off the week with high temperatures in the 30s, relatively typical for mid-December. Minimal rain/snow chances through mid-week as we enter into a slight warming trend, temperatures back to the high 40s by Wednesday.
