Increasing Rain Chances Through the Week

After a cold front pushed across the area earlier, a cooler pattern is upon us. Increasing moisture is helping to increase rain chances across the viewing area. The best chances through Tuesday night will be across the mountains, but a shower or thunderstorm moving out onto the Plains by later this evening can't be ruled out. Temperatures overnight will drop into the 50s for most.

Wednesday will bring slightly warming temperatures with partly to mostly sunny skies. Upper-level energy and sufficient moisture in place will lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms, with increasing coverage expected later in the day. High temperatures will mostly range from the low to mid 80s.

Continued waves of upper-level energy through the week will keep rain chances in the forecast. Heavy rain could be possible at times, increasing a flash flooding risk across burn scars. Chances for rain will persist through the weekend, with perhaps another shot at more seasonal, autumn-like temperatures.
