Weather Whiplash to round out the week

Today: Warm today with highs in Colorado Springs in the low-70s and Pueblo in the mid-70s. A breeze lingers, causing 20-30 mph gusts with gusts in the high country getting up to 45 mph. This wind has prompted a red flag warning over all of southeastern Colorado until 8 pm.

Tomorrow: A chilly and windy end to the work week as some of the coldest arctic air makes its way aloft Colorado in the upper atmosphere. Temperatures take a dive. Wind gusts will continue to ramp up with more 30 mph gusts in Colorado Springs. Highs in Colorado Springs will be in the 50s, with Pueblo as well as many other southern areas topping out in the low 60s.

Easter Weekend: A warm ridge of high pressure comfortably makes its way to southern Colorado, which raises our temperatures and calms the winds. Colorado Springs will have sunny conditions for Saturday and Sunday with temperatures in the 60s. Pueblo and other areas in the eastern plains will likely get up to 70, causing the perfect weather conditions for an outdoor egg hunt.
