Motorcyclist dead after being ejected more than 155 feet following crash in Pueblo

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A motorcyclist is dead after being ejected more than 155 feet following a crash in Pueblo.

Monday, police received a report about a motorcycle crash on the 2200 block of Hwy. 96, just before 7 p.m.

According to Pueblo police, a man on a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Hwy. 96, just before he hit a guardrail.

Police say the man was ejected from the motorcycle in the crash. The motorcycle continued to travel 550 feet before it stopped on the westbound lanes of traffic.

Police located the man in the eastbound lanes of traffic about 160 feet from where he was ejected, according to the Pueblo Police Department.

Police say the man died from his injuries at the scene.

The Pueblo Police Department Traffic Unit resumed the investigation.

Police are considering speed to be a factor in the crash.
