Police arrest suspect after shooting in northwest Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Pueblo Police say a 24-year-old man is facing an assault charge after a shooting on Thanksgiving Day outside of a home in the northwest side of town.
We reported Thursday when the shooting was under investigation. It happened at about 2:45 p.m. near Norwich Ave. and W. 29th Street.
Police say one man was found shot in front of the house, and he's in critical condition at a local hospital. Police initially told us Thursday that two men had been shot, we're working on getting clarification.
PPD arrested 24-year-old Ricardo Gomez for first-degree assault.
It's still not clear what led to the shooting, but neighbors told KRDO they heard yelling before a gun was fired.
This is a developing story, check back for updates.
