Suspects identified in killing at Colorado Springs smoke shop
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs police say they've identified two people accused in a February killing at a smoke shop, but one of the suspects killed himself earlier this year after a crime spree.
CSPD gave an update Monday on the Feb. 11 shooting at the Blown smoke shop on W. Fillmore Street. Benjamin Nandin, 25, was found dead with gunshot wounds and suspects were seen on surveillance video leaving the business.
Monday, CSPD said that Kyree Howard-Walker was the first of two suspects identified in Nandin's death. Howard-Walker was also the suspect in two other homicides that happened on Feb. 22.
But Howard-Walker, himself, was found dead just weeks after the killing.
Another suspect, 39-year-old Vanessa Taylor, turned herself in on Monday for a first-degree murder charge.
We're working on getting more details on what led to the alleged murder. Check back for updates.
