EPC Sheriff’s Office seeks suspects in mail theft and fraud case

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Deputies are looking for two people suspected of mail theft and fraud after a victim found $2,000 in fraudulent transactions on a credit card account and empty envelopes near their mail box.

Deputies say the alleged mail theft happened May 11 in the 3900 block of Pine Air Place. When the victim checked their mailbox, they found that it was empty and several opened envelopes had been strewn on the ground. The victim then checked their business credit card account and saw several fraudulent transactions that day, according to the sheriff's office.

The first suspect is described as a lighter complexioned male with dark short hair, a beard and mustache who was last seen wearing sunglasses, a black shirt, red pants and white tennis shoes.

The second suspect is described a white female with brown or red hair who was last seen wearing a blue zippered jacket with a yellow strip on both arms.

The suspect vehicle is a dark sedan, possibly a Chrysler 200 or 300.
