More smoke moving into Colorado with rising temperatures through the week

We can expect a lot of smoke in the air through the rest of your Tuesday evening for most parts of our viewing. We do have a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm early in the evening, with the best chances over the high country and areas down toward the New Mexico Border. Expect overnight lows in the mid to upper 50s.

Wednesday will bring us mostly sunny skies and warmer weather. We will see highs in the mid to upper 80s, with a slight chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm.

We will start to dry out and heat up Thursday and Friday with mostly sunny skies and high in the mid to upper 90s.

The hot and dry conditions will continue through the weekend. Expect highs in the upper 90s to near 100 degrees in the Pikes Peak Region, with even hotter conditions out on the Eastern Plains.

It will continue to be hot on Monday, but we are looking at the return of monsoon moisture for next week that will bring cooler and wetter weather.
