Loveland man caught with pipe bombs was planning armed protest against COVID-19 restrictions

LOVELAND, Colo. (KRDO) -- A 53-year-old man from Loveland who was arrested after FBI and ATF agents found pipe bombs in his house may have also been planning a violent revolt against Colorado's restrictions due to coronavirus.
A source with the investigation told ABC News that Bradley Bunn had been also helping organized an armed protest to demand the state lift restrictions in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Colorado has reopened many businesses, but a slew of restrictions are still in place during Gov. Jared Polis' safer-at-home phase.
Bunn was arrested after agents searched his Loveland home on Friday morning and discovered four pipe bombs in addition to "potential pipe bomb components," according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Colorado.
ABC says that law enforcement began noticing Bunn after he encouraged people to bring assault rifles to a rally Friday at the Colorado capitol in Denver. Investigators said Bunn's social media posts were "angry and aggressive," and they learned soon after that he had pipe bombs.
The pipe bombs were taken to a gun range to be disposed of.
Bunn is expected in court later Monday afternoon.
