Police search for suspect after man assaulted in downtown Pueblo

KRDO

PUEBLO, Colo. -- Police responded to a report of a large disturbance early Saturday morning, alleging that someone was threatening to shoot others.

At the scene just after 2 a.m., officers found an intoxicated male yelling in the intersection of B Street and Victoria. He did not appear to be assaulted, police say.

Officers continued to search the area and found another male who had been assaulted, with a broken jaw and blood in his ears.

He told officers that he had been "sucker punched," but didn't know by whom, according to the police report.

He was initially transported to a local hospital, but his jaw had been so badly broken he was instead transferred to a Colorado Springs hospital, police say.

Police say they haven't identified any suspects at this time. If you know any information relevant to this case, you're asked to call the Pueblo Police Department at (719) 553-2502.
