The School Buzz: 4 remarkable grads from Pueblo County D70
Friday's graduation is quickly approaching for seniors in Pueblo County D70. There are four, especially remarkable, graduates worth highlighting as part of KRDO's School Buzz.
Aiden Perez is a Pueblo West senior. He received the Army ROTC full-ride scholarship and Pratt Merit and Presidential Scholarships. He’s been a leader on the student council, National Honor Society, and DECA. He plans on attending the Pratt Institute in New York City majoring in fashion design, while also training for an officer position in the Army.
Vy Nguyen is a Pueblo West grad. Vy is graduating with a 5.0 weighted GPA, and already has credit hours from Pueblo CC and CSU Pueblo. She’s in National Honor Society, was a two-time state qualifier in mock trial, was awarded Colorado’s “outstanding senator” with Youth In Government, and has already spent time as an intern at Parkview Medical Center.
Gracie Pfalmer-Graham is a graduate of Rye High School. She's a co-captain of the volleyball and basketball teams, has a 4.2 GPA, is senior class president, FFA chapter president, and was also in NHS. Gracie received the Kane Scholarship and will be attending CSU-Pueblo in the fall for nursing.
And finally, there is Madison Tatinski, another senior from Pueblo West who is graduating. Madison has a 4.66 GPA, was a varsity dance team member all four years, part of NHS, Mock Trial, choir, FCA, and JROTC. She’s the founder of Madison’s Mission, which we’ve highlighted on School Buzz before; she’s collected 15,000 pairs of shoes to donate to those in need. Madison is planning on attending the Colorado School of Mines in the fall to study engineering. She received five scholarships this year.
