COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Letecia Stauch, the woman accused of murdering her 11-year-old stepson Gannon Stauch, has been granted a second competency evaluation after the state hospital found her competent to stand trial during her first evaluation.

Stauch is due back in court, where we'll likely learn the results of that second evaluation, Nov. 12.

Letecia was ordered to undergo a competency evaluation back in June, to see if she understands the proceedings, the nature of the charges, and the role of people in the courtroom. The State hospital announced its findings during the Tuesday hearing.

Stauch was moved to a state hospital in Pueblo for the evaluation sometime around late July.

She wrote a four-page letter to the judge overseeing her case late last month, alleging mistreatment while in custody at the El Paso County Jail.

A gag order has been filed for the case. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office responded to our request for a comment on the letter Tuesday, saying it has filed a motion with the court "requesting clarification so we know what information, if any, we can release in the future."

Stauch was arrested in early March on charges of first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, tampering with a deceased human body, and tampering with evidence.

She also faces charges related to an alleged escape plot from the El Paso County Jail.

Letecia Stauch reported Gannon Stauch as a runaway on Jan. 27, after allegedly telling detectives he didn't return home from a friend's house.

Authorities reported Gannon’s body was found in Pace, Florida on March 18.

The court unsealed the affidavit revealing investigators' timeline of Gannon Stauch's murder on April 3, after it was leaked to the public.
