Inmate dies at El Paso County Jail
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPCSO) has reported an inmate death while in custody at the El Paso County Jail.
According to EPCSO, 42-year-old Jamin Robertson was housed in a medical unit and was found unresponsive and not breathing in his cell on Sept. 4, 2023. Lifesaving measures were performed but were unsuccessful.
EPCSO said Robertson was being housed in the medical unit after being released back to the jail from a local hospital on the afternoon of September 2. He had been sent out of the jail to a hospital for a medical issue on August 29.
Robertson's cause of death will be released by the El Paso County Coroner's Office once an autopsy is completed.
