Multiple cars broken into at Pueblo West auto shop; Suspect caught on camera

PUEBLO WEST, Colo. (KRDO) -- Multiple vehicles were broken into and badly damaged at a Pueblo West auto shop early Tuesday morning.

Around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, a blue/green truck is seen pulling in front of Classic Auto off Spaulding Ave. in Pueblo West. A suspect wearing a dark hoodie and jeans is seen getting out of the truck and going up to the various parked vehicles.

KRDO learned the suspect managed to break into five of the vehicles - leaving the owners with hundreds of dollars worth of repairs.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office responded to the auto shop at 8 a.m. after an employee noticed the numerous damaged vehicles.

Now, investigators are searching for the person responsible.

One woman who got her car broken into said it's going to cost anywhere between $500 and $1,000 to get her window fixed.

"It's unfortunate that this individual at 5:30 in the morning felt the need to come through and do damage to vehicles that they were working on," said Rae King.
