Witness shares details of shooting that injured two juveniles in Pueblo, suspect still on the loose
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- A Pueblo boy is out of the hospital while another is still receiving medical care after a late-night shooting on the city's west side.
Thursday, around 9 p.m., officers with the Pueblo Police Department (PPD) responded to the 1900 block of W. 12th St. on reports of a shooting at the Bethlehem Square Apartments.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a "juvenile male" with multiple gunshot wounds to his leg. Later, officers discovered a second juvenile male victim in the 1900 block of W. 11th St. That victim suffered at least one gunshot wound.
At this time, police weren't able to release the exact age of the boys, they could only say they were both under the age of 18.

According to the PPD, both victims were taken to a local hospital. One boy, however, was flown to a different hospital for further treatment. He remains in the hospital receiving treatment.
Friday, KRDO spoke with a resident in the area who lives at the apartment complex. She recalled hearing multiple gunshots while she was sitting outside.
"There was a bunch of kids walking across the parking lot and someone started shooting," explained Michelle.
Michelle said she knows shootings happen in the city, but never expected something like this to hit so close to home, let alone with kids under the age of 18.
"I can't believe this is what's happening to juveniles nowadays," said Michelle.
Michelle described hearing one of the victims screaming and someone telling him that he was going to be okay.
As of Friday evening, no suspect or suspects have been identified.
The PPD said this is still an active and ongoing investigation.
