El Paso County Sheriff’s Office arrested two in connection to a homicide on Old Stage Road
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- On May 24, 2022, El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO) deputies were dispatched to Old Stage Road for a dead person found by hikers in the area.
When deputies arrived, they found a deceased man on the scene. According to EPSO, the investigation determined that the death was suspicious.
The El Paso County Coroner identified the victim as 30-year-old, Jermaine Trevion Wilson.
After investigation, EPSO identified the suspect as Marquis Dunlap. Dunlap was charged with Second Degree Murder for the death of Wilson.
According to EPSO, Dunlap was previously arrested on Possession of Weapon charges and has been incarcerated within the Federal Bureau of Prisons on unrelated charges.
On October 21, 2022, EPSO says that Laina Curtis turned herself in at the El Paso County Jail for Accessory to a Crime and, she has since posted bail.
