The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in a homicide investigation
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- On August 15, 2022, Fountain Police Department officers were dispatched for a reported overdose.
Officers arrived on the scene and found a deceased adult female.
After learning that the address was in the jurisdiction of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO), deputies arrived on the scene.
Detectives from EPSO conducted an investigation with the assistance of the Colorado Springs Metro Crime Lab. The death was determined to be suspicious says EPSO.
The El Paso County Coroner has identified the victim as 43-year-old, Lisa Weidlich.
The suspect has been identified as Dennis Hase, according to EPSO.
EPSO says he has been arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail on the following charge of First Degree Murder.
