The driver of a deadly DUI crash had previous convictions

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The man suspected of driving drunk and killing two teenagers in a car crash has a history of drunk driving, according to our partners in Denver at 9News.

The driver, identified as Ricky Avalos-Trujillo, hit a truck carrying four teenagers last Saturday near Castle rock. The crash killed two of the teens and critically injured a third.

Colorado State Patrol arrested Trujillo for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

9News says that Trujillo has a history of driving drunk and this is not his first conviction.

Trujillo now faces two counts of vehicular homicide. He will be in court in September.
