EPSO

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A prolific offender who was wanted on several outstanding felony warrants and whose behavior had recently become increasingly violent was taken into custody after a brief standoff with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO).

The offender, identified by EPSO as Quinten Hickey, was apprehended after EPSO received a call for in-progress trespassing.

After containing Quinton, deputies ordered his surrender. According to EPSO, Quinton refused to exit. As a result, members of the EPSO’s Tactical Support Group (TSG) and K9 Unit responded and assumed control of the scene.

Quinton later surrendered without incident.

He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on the felony charges of Vehicular Eluding, First Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Second Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, and a Parole Violation, according to EPSO.
