Inmate found dead on Tuesday morning in El Paso County Jail

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says a male inmate died while in custody early Tuesday morning.
In a news release, police say they found him in his cell, unresponsive around 1:15 a.m.
Sheriff's office personnel and medical staff attempted to revive him before the American Medical Response (AMR) and Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) arrived on scene.
The inmate died despite emergency crews performing life saving measures.
The coroner's office will release the identity of the inmate after notifying the family.
