Fountain Police: someone impersonating police officer and city official

FOUNTAIN, Colo, (KRDO) -- The Fountain Police Department is warning the community of someone calling residents and claiming to be an officer or a city official.

According to the department, several citizens have received suspicious phone calls from someone claiming to be Officer Paige Foster or Deputy City Manager Todd Evans.

The Fountain Police Department released the following statement:

At no time would law enforcement ever call you and request you pay any type of fine in lieu of going to jail. As a reminder, please do not ever provide your personal information or provide any money to these callers.
