Verbal argument leads to fatal shooting in Seibert, suspect arrested
SEIBERT, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man from Longmont was arrested after a fatal shooting Saturday in Seibert.
Authorities arrested 34-year-old Israel Camacho Anderson after a shooting of two individuals in Seibert on Saturday. The small town is located about two hours away from Colorado Springs on the eastern plains.
Investigators say Anderson fired several rounds after an alleged verbal confrontation escalated. One of the victims died from their injuries. The other victim is currently hospitalized and expected to survive.
Anderson was booked into the Kit Carson County Jail on a $175,000 bond. He is charged with second-degree murder and first-degree assault.
No additional information is available due to a gag order issued in the case by a 13th Judicial District judge.
