65-year-old inmate dies at Fremont Correctional Facility

FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A 65-year-old inmate passed away Wednesday at the Fremont Correctional Facility.

The Colorado Department of Corrections says the inmate was not showing any COVID-19 symptoms. The county coroner will perform an autopsy and determine the official cause of death.

Due to medical privacy laws, the inmate's identity will not be released.
