Recovered stolen vehicle may have been used in early morning robbery

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Police officers responded to a robbery call at a convenience store on the city's west side early Tuesday morning.

Police said that around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, they responded to a call of a robbery with a weapon at a 7-Eleven at 3012 W. Colorado Ave. According to police, the suspect, described only as a black or Hispanic man, entered the store and took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. Police said that while the suspect didn't pull a gun, the clerk told officers he did see the handgrip of the gun.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. However, they said they did recover a stolen vehicle they believe was used in the robbery.
