Suspected DUI causes serious crash on I-25 in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo Police Department is investigating a serious crash Saturday morning that left three people seriously injured.

Around 1:30, officers responded to a crash on northbound I-25 between McCulley Avenue and Abriendo Avenue. Police say a black sedan had been traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and hit a pickup truck head-on.

The male and female victims inside the pickup truck were transported to the hospital. The driver of the black sedan was extricated and also taken to the hospital.

Detectives are still investigating, but say the driver of the black sedan is suspected of driving under the influence. The northbound lanes on I-25 between the two avenues were closed for several hours.
