DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) -- Governor Jared Polis announced Friday that he is extending the statewide mask mandate for another 30 days and amending the executive order.

The initial order requiring face coverings was set to expire August 14, but it's now expiring 30 days from that date.

The executive order has also been amended and allows individuals performing "life rites" to be exempt from the mandate. “Life rites” include wedding ceremonies, graduations, funeral services, baptisms, bris ceremonies, and other religious ceremonies.
