Rainy week ahead in southern Colorado

Tonight: Currently picking up a few isolated thunderstorms embedded in scattered showers this afternoon. The overall severity of the thunderstorms is relatively low, although it will be possible for small non-damaging hail and lightning. The rain showers will gradually tapper off from west to east during the overnight hours and turn mostly clear with temperatures into the mid 30s tonight in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.

Monday: As the title suggests, the rain chances continue. Morning sunshine will quickly disappear by early afternoon with scattered showers and thunderstorms starting up after 1pm. On the positive side, the severity of these afternoon thunderstorms again looks low for Monday afternoon.

Extended: The daily afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms will continue through at least the mid-week forecast. It's just one of those weeks in Colorado you should get the outdoor activities done in the morning hours, or risk getting caught in a brief but heavy downpour, up to you.
