WINDS TAPER OFF LATE

Strong winds continue through the evening hours. The west side on Colorado Springs and the higher terrain can expect gusts to reach a maximum of 75mph.

The westerly wind direction will be a key factor for those driving light high profile vehicles. North/south-oriented roads will experience strong crosswinds, creating an extreme blow over risk.

TONIGHT: Partly clear with temps in the teens

WEEKEND FORECAST: Winds calm down on Saturday with seasonal highs keeping cool in the 30's and 40's. Sunday we'll enjoy mostly sunny skies with temps a bit milder in the 40's to near 50°
