Pueblo man dies in fatal crash on La Veta Pass

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a crash on La Veta Pass that killed one man from Pueblo Monday morning.

Blake Noonan, 47, died as a result of the two-vehicle crash. He was driving a 2004 Honda Element westbound on La Veta Pass toward Alamosa when he lost control on a road curve and collided into a car traveling eastbound.

Noonan crashed into a 2019 Peterbilt semi-truck. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Peterbilt semi-truck wasn’t injured.

Excessive speed for the conditions is considered a primary factor in the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
