Dobby the Denver Zoo giraffe is turning 1 and the zoo is having a party

Save the date! The Denver Zoo is celebrating Dobby the giraffe’s first birthday. The party is this Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the giraffe habitat.

No other details have been given.

According to Denver 7, Dobby is the fifth giraffe at the zoo. The Denver Zoo has been caring for giraffes since 1973 and during that time more than 70 giraffes have been born and raised at the zoo.

Dobby is the zoo’s first birth since October 2010.
