Colorado State Fair hoping for tax increase

Colorado State Fair board members are hoping local voters will approve a half-cent sales tax increase to raise $1.3 million for the expo each year.

The funds would add to the money the fair and other agencies have traditionally gotten from the Pueblo City Council and the Pueblo County commissioners each year.

According to the Pueblo Chieftain, fair officials plan to use the money for improvements.
