Deputies seize more than $10k worth of drugs at Motel 6 in Pueblo

A drug bust at a Motel 6 in Pueblo resulted in the seizure of more than $10,000 worth of drugs, six weapons and thousands of dollars on Wednesday afternoon.

The drugs found include heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, psilocybin (mushrooms), and multiple types of medication. Two of the weapons seized were reported stolen, and the cash totaled to over $2,700.

When investigators entered the hotel room, there were five people inside. Only three were arrested.

Michael Vigil, 36 was identified as the person who handled all of the hand-to-hand transactions. He is facing two counts of counts of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I substance, four counts each of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II and Schedule IV substance, and possession of a weapon by a previous offender and two warrants for failure to appear.

Brianna Romero, 21, is facing charges of two counts of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule 1 substance, four counts each of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II and Schedule IV substance, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and two fugitive of justice warrants.

Last was Christopher Salazar, 22, who was found with a concealed handgun in his waistband and is facing a charge of possession of a weapon by a previous offender.

The other two people in the Motel 6 room were released without charges.

Tips to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office is what led investigators to the Motel 6 located at 4103 N. Elizabeth Street. During the time detectives were watching the motel, they witnessed Vigil completing transactions every 5 to 10 minutes.
