6 months after Suzanne Morphew’s disappearance, police look to social media

CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) - It's been six months since Suzanne Morphew, a 49 year-old mother from Chaffee County, went missing on Mother's Day.
Investigators with the Chafee County Sheriff's Office have been working closely with the FBI and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, launching intensive searches in the area, following hundreds of leads from a special tip-line, and conducting countless investigative interviews.
Morphew's family also coordinated their own searches, but so far, no suspects have been identified, and investigators haven't released much information about any leads they may have.
In a statement on Tuesday, Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze said, “To preserve the integrity of this investigation, we cannot reveal all we have learned nor all that we are doing."
Spezze said he understands the community's frustrations of "wanting the case resolved quickly,” but said, "with each day that passes, we learn new information in this case.”
The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is now calling on Morphew’s friends and family who she kept in contact with her through various social media platforms.
“Anyone who may have engaged with Suzanne on Facebook, Instagram, Voxer, FaceTime or WhatsApp and would like to share new information or come forward if they haven’t been interviewed is asked to contact the Suzanne Morphew tip line, regardless of how insignificant you think the information may be, or whether you think investigators are already aware of it.”
