Fremont Co. Sheriff’s Office makes arrest in Canon City homicide case

CANON CITY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A woman has been arrested in connection with Saturday's fatal shooting in Canon City, said the Fremont County Sheriff's Office in a release Sunday.

Shera Marie Carter, 32, was taken into custody and charged with first degree homicide in the death of 33-year-old Coty Bass.

Carter is being held at the Fremont County Detention Center without bond. Her arraignment is set for Monday.

No other details about the incident were immediately available.
